Today we take a deep look into Animal Jam.



What is Animal Jam?

So we take a deep breath and get into the real thing. What is Animal Jam? A parents' question before they send their child into it.

Animal Jam is an educational Animal learning game dedicated to eight year olds. Over the years to pass, more and more 11 year olds play it. Plus teenagers.

Animal Jam has been created by National Geographic, in 2010. They got some members to 'beta test' it, which it succeeded on it's first try. Throughout it's journey, Animal Jam has collected 100 MILLION Players.

Let's take a look into the Pros and Cons of AJ.



Pros

Animal Jam is a educational game.
It is also a National Geographic game, which makes it better XD. It also has holiday themed stages and periods of time. It gives you some offline activities as well, plus betas and rares at different sstagesetc etc. Whoops.. I'm writing from the phone so.. Sorry..

Cons

Scams. Scammers are seen almost every day in Animal Jam. .. Also Membership. And addiction. Your child needs a set time to play and stop playing. Etc, etc. I'm sure you know the rest. With every game its the same.


Please tell me what you think of Animal Jam. Try not you blow up, as I do not tolerate that.

Animal Jam: Membership Worth or Not?

Welcome back to a new post! 

Today we're talking about membership. If you look at the AJ membership page, you'll find out that 12 months (1 year) is the best valued. I think that too. But if you're paying altogether, you'll be paying: 57.95 USD. So this is a WHOLE LOT of money, but as Animal Jam has explained before, AJ is a business. It needs money to run, to update regularly, and that's exactly how their employees get paid!

What Happens when you become a Club Member

Free memberships

Animal Jam has even included a "Help Topic" post about "Can I get a Free Membership", which is a VERY hot topic, most non members hope for this. So you're probably thinking right now, "OH, PANGUINAJ HAS A FREE MEMBERSHIP FOR US". Don't hope for this. If there was a way, I'd have used it by now.

But as you all know, there TRULY ARE jammers who've got a free membership for nothing! Their types:

1. The jammers who have been Beta Testers some years ago. They get free membership for 30 days!
2. The jammers who sign up for a site and get free membership: This happens once in a blue moon.
3. The jammers who jump on Mt. Shiveer, and get 30 days or 6 months membership. This is a Jamaa Legend, or myth, or rumor. Whatever.

These events happen once in a blue moon, as I mentioned in No. 2.

 Beware of Scams

Some jammers claim they give out free membership, by making you trade your best items. When you trade them, you normally get locked out of their den, which is a scam, and you never receive free membership. Other jammers ask you for your password. There's a huge amount of harm in that. They might hack you and turn all your rares over to their own account. But if you use a spare, and you get free membership, you're like, oh wow, I'll go get membership on my main.

DON'T do this. This is what your.. benefactor is waiting for. Instead, change your password imediatly, and switch your main to your spare.

In Conclusion:

In conclusion, I would like to give special emphasis to this point: Animal Jam does not give you free membership.


 Membership Worth?

You've just saved up all your pocket money. You're trying to buy membership, but at the same time you're saving up for another item that you really want. You can't decide which one you will take, and you're asking jammers to see if it's really worth it.

Your member friends say "It's not that great, but JOIN THE CROWD!" 

You can't decide what you want. Turn over here!

So, this utterly depends on you. I'll explain why. First of all, the item you're saving up for. Is it precious? Is it valuable? If yes, then you should forget about Animal Jam. Get into real life. THEN comes Animal Jam.

So I'll explain.

You're a jammer who really wants membership.You don't have a wish for anything else. That means you're free to get membership! Be sure to ask your mom or dad before you purchase your membership. Paying with real money needs to be done wisely, not unwisely.

You might not get what you expected. You might be prone to a scam by scammers.

But above all you must remember that Animal Jam is virtual, and your real life comes before Animal Jam. So after reading this post, I hope you decide to take action. Please tell me your decision in the comments below.

Walkthru: The Search for Greely

 The Search For Greely

(NON MEMBER ADVENTURE) Mode: Normal

Graham: Nobody has SEEN or HEARD from Greely since he stopped the VOLCANO from erupting! The MONKEYS and I have been SEARCHING through the rubble for any sign of what HAPPENED to him. We haven't found much. But never fear! Now that you're here, we're sure to find SOMETHING! I bet the monkeys ahead could use your HELP.

Pick up a torch and proceed until you find the fire pit. "Courage +5". Cross the mushroom bridge. Proceed over the purple pipes and climb up, after you see the journal papers. Continue until you meet Virgil and Philbert. Read what they say, and continue with the information. "Blue circle".
Meet the monkeys Piper and Charles. "Yellow Star". Meet Luke and Doris and continue your journey. "Orange Triangle".
Meet Graham. When he says something about a combination lock, rotate the shapes to find out what they are. Remember I've dropped some clues! Blue circle, yellow star, and orange triangle!

Explore the hideout.

Go on until you reach a strange machine, that can be activated with a crystal. Proceed. Talk to Graham and pick up the Purple Crystal. Activate the machine. Then Walk through the slush that comes out of the pipes, to create a disguise. You know the rest. Go back to Graham, where a phantom portal awaits you.

Pass Graham. But wait. If you want a treasure, a Clover Blanket, you have to go find a smaller portal. When you go through it, you get a prize!

Enter the Phantom Portal. Go straight, straight. The phantom disguise will wear off. Do not be alarmed. It is meant to wear off.

Click on the Phantom Pods a lot of times, and break them. "Courage +5 for all pods".

Continue until you see Greely, chained and locked up with 5 locks. Go North-East first, as that is your easiest. Turn right at corridor, and pick up the boomseeds.

You will see a web. Don't click on it until you have "Boomed" the phantoms behind it. When you see the lasers, you must use your wits! This is the easiest to be done. I have done it once without getting touched at all!

Break two pods and enter a kind of a cove. Open the treasure and receive 150 gems. Slip through the lasers.
Grab the key. DO NOT CLICK THE LEVER TO OFF THE LASERS, AS PHANTOMS ARISE!

Get knocked out by the lasers. That is the easiest way to return. Open a lock. Go back to the passage and this time, turn left.

You will see two lasers before you enter. Enter when it's all clear. Press the lever to close the three lasers, then continue through the maze of lasers. It's not impossible! you can do it!

Reach the last laser point.

Grab the key, then get knocked out by the lasers. Unlock the next lock. "Courage +25".

Now go south east. This one is MUCH more difficult but you can survive it. Pick up a pile of boomseeds, and get rid of the phantoms beyond the web you see, before you break it.

Defeat the rest of the phantoms before you continue. The key is unprotected. Take it, and turn back. Too late! There's a phantom machine over there, and another in that passage! Try to defeat them with boomseeds.

When you get put into a deep sleep, and there's still some phantoms there, defeat them. Don't go free Greely. It's gonna be a huge disaster if you do so. If you want to still do it, do it and see! :D

 The last lock is medium problemized.

Go south-west, pick up a pile of boomseeds, and destroy the pods. Defeat the phantoms, avoid the lasers. Believe me, this is slower than the last one we did, but much more easier.

Find the lever and close it. Proceed to the south-east passage. Destroy the pods then rush to the cove. Get inside the passage-way, avoiding the laser.

Rush past the two phantoms, defeat them and slip into the second cove. Pick up some boomseeds.

Slip through the defenses, use your brains! I'm not going to tell you EVERYTHING. I know, this is supposed to be a full walkthru, but.. yes.

Get the key somehow and get put into a deep sleep.

Unlock the fourth lock.

Two phantom kings will appear. Pick up boomseeds, go near them to make them... meditate? Then get out of their way VERY quickly, and use your boomseeds to hit them - in the eye. At first, they will become angry, and phantoms will spring up. Gradually, as you slam them, they become weaker, and get defeated. "Courage +200".

ADVENTURE OVER WHEN BOTH KINGS DEFEATED.

Losing Your Mind

  Scammers in scams tend to be hard hearted. They do not think about what lies beyond their scams, what happens when people find out that they have been mistaken. The people who buy from the scammers often ask no questions, which they SHOULD. Every beta has a stolen-story to it. 

 What is scamming?

The big question. Scamming is a type of stealing other people's rares to make them give in without protest. It often results in getting you lose your mind, which is not good. Scamming can't be done by anyone unless they know tricks and tips. 

How many jammers have been scammed on Animal Jam? Another big question. Scammers tend to scam in huge numbers, ranging up to 10 to 20. Every year, more than six hundred-thousand jammers have been scammed.

Scammers often work in pairs. Not every scammer uses their main account to scam. They don't want to get banned and lose all their betas. 

Reporters-on-scene report, although many jammers get upset at it, they don't lose their minds, or want to exit AJ for a short term. Sometimes they exit AJ for a number of days, and clear their heads, and face it. That's normally good, so you can have a break from computers. 

The worst kind of scam is called Trust. Trust is something that you do in giveaways, to get the other person to trust you, then trade the desired object. Almost all trust giveaways are total scams, and if you ever go to one, you should not trade your best items. If you are rare, trade your worthless objects like a diamond collar spike, worth a few rims, and see if they accept. If they don't, there is 95% out of 05% scam.

Trust comes in the form of giveaways such as Spike Giveaways, Black Long Giveaway, etc. 

A kind of scamming that comes under a different name is called 'Flash Trading'. Someone trades something for a necklace, and when the jammer accepts, they decline. Flash Trading has petered out now, but comes under a different name, called 'Trolling'. Trolling is basically the same thing, but most of the time it's asked for, like, "Troll me or treat me!" So the user expects a whole trolling, not treating.

Unfortunately, most jammers get trolled every year than they get treated. It is very rare you get treated, unless... the jammers are kind. So wouldn't you like to get treated? Every good turn comes back, you know. Treat others, they might treat you!

In conclusion to scamming, we summarize the facts of scamming:

• Mostly trust
• Trolling (Flash trading)
• Might slightly upset you

 The Daily Explorer: Down?

The Daily Explorer, the blog of Animal Jam seems to be down - temporarily. It's, however, back to normal - I noticed this last Monday. The post didn't come up, and I was like, oh it's down!

However, the mistake seems to be corrected. :)

Rare Item Monday Drama

Hey jammers! It's Monday and you know what that means!

R.I.M: The abbreviation RIM means Rare Item Monday. Yup, it's an in-game rare.

Although I think it's cool, I've met several jammers who argue boundlessly that they do not like the Rim available today.

It is called Rare Frog Hat, and it's red. It was available at the Hot Cocoa Hut, Mt Shiveer. This is how it looks.





















 

One jammer in the Hut said:

"This is un-stylish and unlikable, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to buy it. It is exactly the same as the other Frog Hats in store."

Another jammer argued that many people had their own likes and opinions, and other opinions should be kept to the thinker's self. Yet another jammer declared in capitals that member's rares were useless anyway, and that they were just pixels.

The reporter on scene reported there was some drama and two sided arguments, which ended in a lot of Jam-A-Grams to the reporter worded such as, The rare frog hat is much cooler than the others or The rim today is cool.

In conclusion, there were more arguments entitled as Rare Cooler than of the arguments titled as Rare Useless, so it is confirmed Rare Cooler has won! :D

Hey jammers, it's PanguinAJ reporting from the scene of confusion: The Daily Explorer did not show the weekly RIM! But thats not what I wanted to tell you. I'm making an important update. I'll be hiring jammers as reporters and I'm making a newspaper: This. I'll be wording the story out, making sure it's true, and you're gonna see news up here! This is mostly to improve my grammar, and I'm bad at writing news reports, so I guess this will be an improvement :)

Welcome to Panguin's Space!

Hey there jammers!

I'm a jammer been on Animal Jam since 2015 (middles), and I'm Panguin32 (nonusername is PanguinAJ)! I wasn't so interested in it the last two years since I was pretty small then.

So you're probably wondering how I got my username as Panguin32, which is very simple! It's NOT a spelling mistake, it was very intentional, and although I've got teased about it a hundred times, I'm using it as a stepping stone! So, probably throughout the three years my username got added onto the chat, safe chat, and safe chat plus! It's Panguin (if you didn't know).

So basically I did want to put *Penguin _something_* but all the names were taken so I just added Panguin32. It didn't occur to me to put PanguinAJ. What's done can't be undone. Anyway. I kind of got tired of it and it was only in 2017, December I returned to see it. I was VERY happy because this was my style and I found my way around really quickly.

Happily I gained some new items and there was this event in Crystal Sands. I actually obtained an item called "Message in the Bottle" and a VERY nice jammer gave me a non member den beta (a floor) in 2018. I was so pleased!

She advised me to check out the non member promo item "Mystical Faerie Wings", which I currently have in my possession. It got scammed about 3 times in total so... yea. I got it back though. (Not from the scammer)

Once I got a "Cool Banner" that's worth 1-2 den betas for actually nothing, someone came to my den when a "Beta Sink" (worth 1 rim) was in it, and asked me if any of them were den betas. Then when I said no, they traded me the "Cool Banner"! I was like, "You sure? Not many know the Beta Sink is worth nothing!" They replied like, yea, you were honest so here goes! (I wonder if they were recording at that time XD!)

Yea. I'd better end this post now but before I go there's a HUGE, MEGA update on Animal Jam. You should check it out! Safe Chat Plus is available now for non members and the Autumn den is available for ALL jammers! I got both. And you ask why?

Yea. It's because there is 100 MILLION Animal Jam Web AND Animal Jam Play Wild jammers! Whooo whooo!
